Kpop Star IU Cut Her Hair Because It Was Damaged, Kristin Chenoweth Follows the Trend with a New Pixie Haircut

Kpop star IU recently cut her hair very short. The singer admitted she cut her hair short because it was damaged from dyeing her hair blonde, but she is at the forefront of a pixie haircut trend for celebrities. Kristin Chenoweth also lopped off her long locks.

Kristin Chenoweth took to Twitter to announce that she's following the hair trend of IU and Pamela Anderson.

IU and Kristin Chenoweth were also joined by a hair-chopping Charlize Theron.

This summer, Miley Cyrus also cut her hair very short, right before she changed her image to the new sexy twerking VMA performance style. IU seems to be going in the same direction.

Kristin Chenoweth went to stylist Jonathan Hanousek's salon to get a new pixie cut.

Along with a photo of Kristin Chanoweth's new do, Hanousek wrote on Instagram "Look who came to the salon today!!!" and "@KChenoweth went short today for her new film!! We had sooo much fun!"

Yesterday IU revealed to KBS Cool FM's "Choi Daniel's Pops Pops" that she changed her hairstyle because of constant dyeing for her new album.

IU said "After I dyed my hair blonde for my album concept, my hair got damaged. But I've always thought that I should try a short hairdo at least once... I tried red hair before, and then I cut it short."

The media was speculating that IU cut her hair for her role on the new KBS 2TV drama "Pretty Man." The new drama debuts after "Secrets: on November 20.

Kristin Chenoweth has experimented with layers, extensions, bangs and other style in the past.
