Girls Generation Weekly Wrap Up

What's Up This Week with....Girls' Generation! [Week of 8/12-8/18]

Topping charts, Forbes Korea, and a bunch of fun in Vegas. The nine beautiful ladies of Girls’ Generation are, indeed, going global this week.

With the recent announcement of their new Japanese single “GALAXY SUPERNOVA” and Second Japanese Arena Tour Blu-Ray and DVD, Girls’ Generation managed to snag the top three spots in Tower Records’ Pre-Order Charts.

All three items are set to release on September 8th to mark Girls’ Generation’s third anniversary since their Japanese debut with “Genie”.

On the topic of tours, Singapore concert organizer and promoter Rising Into the Sun announced that they will be bringing “2013 Girls’ Generation’s World Tour – Girls & Peace” on October 12th to Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The concert will be presented by Carlo Rino and tickets will be on sale to the public on August 24.

In celebration of Tiffany’s birthday month, Forbes Korea has featured the Korean-American starlet in the August issue of the magazine.

The feature highlighted Tiffany’s career from the moment of Girls’ Generation’s debut as well as her work ethic on and off the stage.

On the other hand, earlier this week, Girls’ Generation flew out to Las Vegas for an exclusive photoshoot for their upcoming photobook.

Although no further information regarding the photobook has been released, it seems like the instagrammers of the group are doing a great job with updating fans on what’s going on behind the scenes of their photoshoots.

Taeyeon, Sunny, Hyoyeon and Yuri have all posted pictures during their stay in Sin City showing that they play just hard as they do working. The four members have posted pictures of themselves shopping, walking around, and bonding with the other members.

In addition to their photobook shoot, the girls attended Diplo and Mad Decent Mondays at the SX Nightclub in Vegas.

By the next day, Major Lazer’s frontman producer and DJ, Diplo, gave a shout out to the girls and thanked them for coming out to their set.

As proof of their attendance, Taeyeon posted a video of Diplo playing his set for the night in front of a full house at the club.

However that isn’t the only video she has posted. The kid leader managed to have herself recorded playing around with a clown on stilts.

With that said, that’s it for this week’s Girls’ Generation wrap-up! Come back next week and check out what’s going on with Girls’ Generation!
