For the last 10 years, S.M. Entertainment act TVXQ has toured the world entertaining a fan base that has continued to grow.
And although founding members Xiah Junsu, Micky Yoochun and Hero Jaejoong left the band following a contract dispute with S.M. in 2009 to form JYJ, remaining members U-Know Yunho And Max Changmin have soldiered on, and appear to be as popular as ever.
Last weekend, the group became the first international artist to play the 72,000-seat Nissan Stadium in Japan’s Yokohama City.
Yunho and Changmin reflected on their 10 years in TVXQ at a press conference following their three-hour set on Saturday.
“It’ll be 10 years since our debut this year,” Changmin said, according to the publication eNEWS.
“We went from our first performance at a music show to a showcase at the Jamsil Olympics Main Stadium and performances at Japan′s houses, halls, arenas and domes. Back then I kept thinking that time was going so slowly. Now that I look back on those times, I can now say whatever I have to say proudly thanks to those 10 years. We can now hold concerts in large venues with a lot of people.”
The star admitted it was also an emotional moment for TVXQ’s management team at Nissan Stadium.
“A lot of our staff members wiped away tears today,” he said. “I′m proud that we didn′t just work hard without any direction. We paved TVXQ′s way with our sweat and effort.”
Changmin’s bandmate Yunho added that there would be a special event to commemorate TVXQ’s decade-long existence.
“We′ve been thinking a lot about our 10th anniversary,” he said. “We can′t say exactly what, but we′re sure we′ll be holding a special concert or event. It′s important that we show a new side to ourselves. We′ve been thinking a lot.”
Although Yunho claims he doesn’t have any major plans for the future of TVXQ, the star says he hopes to follow in the footsteps of the artists that came before him.
“I don′t really have a goal, I have people I want to be like,” Yunho said.
“I′ve been looking up to our seniors a lot. Like our seniors, who become better with time, I hope we can also be artists that our juniors can look up to.”
Yunho admitted to feeling his age recently. The star will turn 28 on February 6.
“I′ll be almost 30 years old next year, considering how I was born in the beginning of the year,” he said.
“I feel like I′ve been trying to keep up. I don′t want to fall behind Changmin, and I don′t want to hear that I′m too old now.”

shiwon, changmin, shindong, lee byung hyun, lee min jung, taeyang Airport fashion is as big as a deal in Korea as the fashion on a red carpet premiere. I don't know how it popped off but it's become huge and now K-pop celebs have to try to look good when getting off a long flight or getting onto a long flight. I've never looked like a decent human being when I've gone to the airport. I'm usually in a hoodie, sweatpants, and I look like I ate too much ramen noodles the night before. Let's take a look at some of this week's airport fashion! I'm digging DBSK's Changmin's outfit here, except I actually despise those boat anchor designed shorts...
