Hometown fans will get an early Christmas present this year when the international K-pop sensation Psy plays his first concert in eight months at Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul.
The rapper and YouTube phenomenon hasn't hit the stage since his April 13 "Happening," that corresponded with the release of his last single "Gentleman."
And the "Gangnam Style" won't be limited to a one night only affair, according to a statement from the concert promoter in a press release issued Wednesday by Psy's record label YG Entertainment.

"We have finalized the application for the concert hall rental for ten days from December 16 to 25," the promoter's statement read.
"Psy [has been] writing new songs in the US and he will finalize the exact date of the concert by consulting with his US agency."
Although the concert promoters are considering a long list of factors as they decide exactly when and where to have the shows, and for how many days.
"Sangam or Jamsil Stadium which can accommodate an audience of 50,000 are not appropriate since it is too cold to have an outdoor concert," read the promoter's statement.
"Because Olympic Gymnastics Arena can accommodate only an audience of 12,000, we may hold the concert for [at least] five days in a row."
Psy, who is expected to unveil his bevy of new material at the December shows has been had at work on his new album, being recorded in the US.
The album reportedly features high-profile collaborations with rock gods Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and Brian May of Queen.
In an interview for this month's issue of Italian Vogue, Psy admitted to being a bit overwhelmed working with artists he had admired his whole life.
"Legendary artists like Aerosmith's Steven Tyler completed his recording right beside me," Psy said.
"When I was a middle school student, I used to cry listening to their songs. Aerosmith is my role model. I can't believe that I did collaboration with Tyler. I love my life."
