Plagiarism Streak Continues: Trouble Maker's 'Now' Vs. Rihanna's 'We Found Love'

Plagiarism seems to be a hot topic in Kpop at the moment since after the issues flared about IU's Red Shoes, there are now new things brought to light under scrutiny.

The duo of Trouble Maker found themselves in trouble as their new music video for comeback track “Now” is currently under fire for suspicions of plagiarism.

On October 28, a series of screen captures were uploaded on online community, stressing out the strikingly similar scenes between Trouble Maker’s “Now” music video and Rihanna’s “We Found Love” music video. The similar-looking scenes included hugging in a field, drifting cars, love scene inside the car and fireworks.

Internet users commented, “Talking about Hallyu wave, but then you steal a famous American singer’s MV. Aren’t you even embarrassed?” “The producer has no sense of pride since he stole other people’s ideas” and “It’s similar to the point where you can’t deny it.”

The harsh commentators did not hold back at all as they tore the video limb from limb because of the many commonalities that were found between the two videos. In light of these recent findings, no statement has been released yet from the side of the company and the artists. What do you guys have to say about this new issue?
