I always say, one is truly a great singer if one does musicals. There's nothing like sitting in a theatre hearing someone belt out some serious vocals to a song while acting and attempting to entertain an audience. In my eyes, musical theatre is where it's at and if a K-pop idol can score one and perform in it with great reviews, they are a superstar in my eyes. Let's take a look at K-pop idols who have conquered musicals.
I always knew Jessica had some pipes, but when I heard the news that she would star as Elle Woods in the Broadway musical of "Legally Blonde" I was stunned. Could Jessica do Elle Woods justice? Could her ice queen demeanor transform into a ditzy yet intelligent and funny blonde? The answer was yes! Jessica showed the world that she could do a musical and she did that musical well and all was right in the world.

One of the biggest highlights of his career was when he co-starred in the US produced Broadway musical, "Loving the Silent Tears" where he performed in front of top notch stars and producers to raise money for various charities.
