In a brand new featurette, Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence (no relation) says the next film will use IMAX to really put us into Katniss' POV like never before! He says:
"We decided to use the IMAX thematically for the arena. We decided we’re going to stay in scope all the way up to the moment as she’s going into the arena, then as she’s going up that elevator the screen will open up."
Wha?? Genius! This actually makes us want to put our names in the lottery one more time to afford IMAX tickets!
