The lead singer of Secret is once again going to be put on the spotlight after having collaborated with BAP's Bang Yongguk for 'Going Crazy'. But this time, she's going the whole nine yards with her solo single album 'Torturous hope'
The collaboration with BAP's Bang Yongguk had been 2 years ago until this date. On September 24, the teaser image for the solo single album has been released. Much anticipation is being built up by this album since she showed great potential as a soloist during her promotion for Going Crazy with Bang Yongguk. Not only did Going Crazy top music charts, but her vocal ability was showcased pretty well to the fans. She is now known as one of the divas of the idol industry because of her voice and how she projects on screen.
It has been confirmed that for the release of "Torturous Hope" fans should expect a deep ballad from the idol. The teaser image released for Torturous Hope presents exactly that. The contrast of white and black gives more room for fans to look at her piercing eyes and the anticipation is well on its way since fans are more than excited for the ballad's release and what this could mean for Song Jieun.
There are only a few more days to go because the album drops on the 30th of this month, afterwards the song will be promoted through music shows.
Translator's Note: "희망고문" literally translates to "Hope Torture" and it is the pain of still having hope even when you know that it's not going to work. The music video teaser will be released on the 25th, music program promotions will begin on the 26th, and the album will be released on the 30th.
